Any ideas?

I invested in a business about a year ago...actually I'm more of an independent contractor... Doing in home demonstrations to sell bedroom novelties (pleasure parties) When I decided to get into this I had people who said they would support me and have a party...Well, 1 ended up going to jail...2 ended up getting pregnant..1 tried but only 2 people showed up and the other had 30 girls show up but only $150 in sales and no bookings...I have had 2 parties since then but I need some ideas to get my name out there...Some one said go to strip clubs but I am not willing to do that..I have made business cards and brochures..Maybe I need to be a little more pushy? Any ideas would be great..
