Relationship issues, how do I overcome this..... please?

I'm due to marry in a fortnight. My bride has rich parents. Her parents have paid for a safari holiday, in Africa as a honeymoon gift. Thing is I had an entire nostril kicked off by a Giraffe, at a zoo as a kid, (its ok now , I had plastic surgery). But I'm still terrified of the lanky beasts. How can I break it to them that I can't go without offending them. This could make, or break the marriage.Thanks
