Fun things to do on Long Island?

I live on Long Island and I was wondering if any Long Islanders have anything fun to do in Nau County, somewhere around Hicksville, Plainview, or any area around there. Thank You! And don't suggest going to The City please. I understand I live in the shadow of the "greatest city in the world".
