My first grader is losing interest in school. How do I make him like school again?

He isn't paying attention and doesn't "feel like" doing his homework. He would rather watch TV or play video games. His teacher is complaining about his behavior in cl and him fooling around. What do you reccomend? Should I have him on Sylvan or Kumon? Which is best for him? What workbooks or worksheets do you think is best?
