Is Vet Tech school worth it?

absolutely not ... you can love animals and have a real career too ... a vet tech/istant is nothing more than a glorified receptionist and the rate of pay reflects that ... and it is all warm and fuzzy to say you love animals more than money, but when you are struggling to maintain even the most basic of a life on barely more than minimum wage, it will cease to be warm and fuzzy very quickly ... i love animals and love to spend time with dogs so i have a career where i can work from home and make enough money that i started a dog walking/sitting service on the side ... now i have two of my own businesses, my schedule is interesting and open, and i get to spend time with dogs when and how i chose ... way better than dealing with sick, injured, dying animals if you ask me ...
