Carcinoma of urinary bladder?

My father is a 78 year old man suffering from carcinoma of both the prostrate and recently developed it in the urinary bladder. We dont want to tell him about it as we feel he will break down totally. He cannot undergo a surgery or treatment such as chemotherapy. He is presently on homeopathic medicine for the same and taking hemostat to control his hematuria. Can there be any other way to help him? Any medication that might discreetly help him reduce his sufferings???? Doctors and people with knowledge, your reply is solicited.
