Nigel is extremely correct. The Prius, like any hybrid, is only a good choice if your driving consists of almost entirely city driving. They are anything but economical or environmentally friendly in the long run. Not only can a Durango (or almost any truck of SUV) be fitted with a diesel engine, they can be run on biodiesel, which can be had for almost nothing.
