Im confused about who i like please help?

ok well there is this guy in my cl (lets just call him bob) who i have liked all year but im quite shy when it comes to asking people out. Im not sure if he likes me back although people said that he does? what does that mean cus all his friends said that he likes me but when i asked him if he did he bluntly said NO i have liked him all year tho and at times i think im relly in love with him. There is this other guy tho who is like one of my best friends and i think he might like me? im not sure but he always is really protective of me and i really like that and i might be falling in love with him too. Im not sure if i shuld not like bob because of this new guy or if i shuld question my liking of the other guy and carry on as per normal? please help me?
